The next JP ES Steering Committee meeting will take place on 21st March in Karlsruhe, Germany in the frames of Energy Conversion and Storage Days. The programme of the event is provided below.

• Meetings of EERA Joint programme Energy Storage& EERA Joint programme Photovoltaic Solar Power (EERA JP PV members only)
• Workshop on “Applications for Hybrid Energy Storage”
• Workshop on ”Succeeding with Scale-up of Energy Materials”
• Workshop on ”Energy System Benchmarking for Hybrid Storage”
• Project Meeting Viperlab
• Match-making event for Horizon Europe calls
• Site visits:

• Energy Lab 2.0 (KIT): Europe's largest research infrastructure for renewable energy (batteries, electrolysis, Power2X, PV, micro gas turbine, energy smart home lab, electric cars,…)
• BiFlow: Demonstrator combining PV, wind turbine, lithium-ion battery & redox-flow battery (electrolytes for thermal storage)
• Fraunhofer ICT demonstrator: Demonstrator combining wind turbine, redox-flow battery & supercapacitor for virtual inertia

All meetings will take place in person on Tuesday (21 March 2023), Wednesday (22 March 2023) and Thursday (23 March 2023) in the morning at FTU at KIT Campus North (Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen). Buses will be hired to take all participants from Karlsruhe to Campus Nord in the morning and return at the end of the event in the afternoon. Buses will also be hired for the site visits, including the trip to Fraunhofer ICT in Pfinztal on Thursday. On Thursday evening, after the get-together, the buses will drive back from Pfinztal to Karlsruhe (~21:30 h).
