Britisch Geological Survey (BGS) GeoMicrobiology Laboratory (GML) Containment Level 2 microbiology laboratory, with state-of-the-art equipment for molecular analysis of microbial communities (PCR technologies, Oxford Nanopore DNA sequencing), culturing techniques (sterile laminar flow facilities, Microaerophilic/Anaerobic Chamber, range of incubators) and the capability to design bespoke microbiology experiments at representative subsurface temperatures and pressures.
