XR4MAT of Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH (FZJ)
The energy materials analytics and XR (mixed reality) facility is an integrated hardware-software platform with capabilities in data acquisition, data workflow management and modeling-based analytics. Powered by validated ML-based algorithms, the Virtual Materials Intelligence Platform (ViMi) is an agent-based, application-driven materials discovery and scale up software that is highly specialized in assessing component and device compatibility of new materials.
State of the art: Capabilities to augment modeling data on a virtual reality environment, where the data analytics is streamlined with an immersive and interactive virtual environment. The data augmentation can take place at various scales, from materials level to component integration and device or on-grid/off-grid system operations.
Services currently offered by the infrastructure: The facility provides services in virtual demonstration of electrochemical materials, components and cells and in the assessment of safety and reliability, and provides training and education on methods and tools. Specific capabilities: data visualization, ad hoc data tracking, data analytics, interactive data discovery, and data augmentation in a customized virtual room.
